Join your local Centenary & Districts Chamber of Commerce and enjoy a variety of canapes, hear from Dr Tony Watt and chat to other like-minded small business owners.

Dr Tony Watt has worked with hundreds of CEOs and business owners to identify their true values – not the aspirational values published on the company website. For a leader, being authentic and staying true to your values provide a clear framework to guide your behaviour and decisions. This clear direction and sense of purpose then permeates a company’s staff – strengthening the culture.

Leaders and staff work together with a sense of common purpose – which then puts your company in a strong position to weather this crisis.

Dr Watt will outline an example of a company that was on the verge of receivership. The owner had felt he had to be a certain type of manager to run his company successfully – draconian, aggressive and with very little empathy. Dr Watt worked with the owner and his staff to implement the Cultural Health Check program. The owner dramatically changed how he turned up as a leader, led according to his real values. The company has since doubled in size and won last year’s Small Business Employer of the Year at the Queensland Training Awards.

In this session, Dr Watt will present The Tide’s Gone Out. Look Who’s Been Swimming Naked. In tough times, your team and your customers find out who you really are. Tony will outline the fundamentals of building a Culture by Design – your customer magnet.

Our meeting with start with the AGM, then we will hear from Dr Watt. After this, we will open the floor to questions and a break for something to eat and time for networking.
